Cong. Wally on your Doubles Championship. I knew you shot a 99 but
left before I found you won the Championship. Again Cong.

    Thank-you one and all!

It was a great feeling to break that score!

I am still in total shock about this doubles stuff...it is only the third round for me for the entire season!

Guess I will shoot more doubles...

    Thanks

    Wally Shelstad

PS-Denny the feather landed on the freeway...breezy!

As a line mate that day, I have to say that watching Wally hammer those 99 targets was a thing of beauty. Both Coach and I knew he was in the zone and he didn't disappoint! You are a great role model and, even better, a wonderful friend.

Congratulations, Wally, on earning Minnesota's 2009 State Doubles Championship! The best part? Next year, in the 100th Anniversary Program, there will be forever listed the "Wally Shelstad Doubles" Event. We can't wait to shoot it.

Part of the "Buffalo Gang" at the Minnesota State Shoot!

PS-Thanks Sally, you and "coach" really gave me a lot of support and encouragement that day, thanks!! Plus, a "thanks" go to Ron Baker who assisted in changing the "pitch angle" in my gun, so I could stay in the gun after my weight loss!

    Congratulations Wally,

You were in the Zone and turning good clay into recycling! You put away some pretty good shooters on Friday! Feels good, doesn't it. Think you can coach a coach? Ha ha. Thank you for all the hard work you do for our gun club and our sport!

    Way to go buddy!

    WS--

Would the new doubles league at Buffalo Gun Club have anything to do with your newly earned title? Because, unless you're giving lessons too, buddy, my doubles scores will stay the way they always do -- low and UGLY!

Lessons first, WS, then league. Sign me up!

PS Do I have to lose 50 pounds like you did first?

I got there late last night and didn't know about the free spring water! Dang.

Better go back again tonight then, eh? I heard tell of the third trap throwing doubles?? Heaven knows I need the practice (and a BGC cheeseburger with fried onions!)
