MIA, Hot Lips and Sweet Cheeks are welcome to the MGC anytime.....and either one of them could put it together for the Championship. And you could too if you concentrate with that "this is the one" gun you've been shooting lately.

Friday the start time is 10:00 AM

Saturday & Sunday the start time is 9:30 AM

You can view the program at the above website or at www.mn-trap.org

The weather looks good, the targets will be flying just right and the food will be fantastic.

C'mon out and win a buckle.

    Hope to see you there.

The weather is a little cloudy but the rain is supposed to hold off until late afternoon.

We will have a separate field set up so you can "shoot your doubles anytime" and be home in time to mow the lawn before it "might" rain.

10:00 AM start today, NO WIND!!!! It'll be a good day at MGC. And those beautiful Tilden Buckles are up for grabs.

    See ya there.

Day 1 is in the books, a nice turnout and some great scores. The clouds cleared out and the wind stayed away. 4 100's in Singles, a 98 was high in Handicap and Mike Stadt, an up and coming "Doubles Boy", shown below, was high in Doubles with a 97.

    <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v662/jimw-mn/?action=view&current=handicapfriday20088.jpg" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

Tomorrow, 100 Singles and the 200 Handicap. And free roast pig dinner.

The weather is supposed to be 75 and sunny. C'mon out and enjoy the day.

    Hope to see you there.

Sheese, if Stadt can win, Mpls Gun Club must be throwing illegal targets again. Stadt hasn't won anything since he cleaned house three years ago at Alexandria. He won the big Indian Headress. Rumor has it his future wife broke up with him because he used to wear it to bed. Something about him being "big chief ride em hard." That hat looks to big for his pointed head too.

And what's with the belt buckles? I bet it's because Wakowak wants a belt buckle. In 25 years of shooting, the poor man has never won one. Wish I was there to share in the easy targets. Here at Nebraska, you have to shoot a real score to win anything.

Get out and take advantage of this easy shoot. Wakowak and Stadt ain't much competition. If you can shoot at all, you got a chance. The food is great, the club house is great, the targets have to be oversize and slow. Go get em.

Day 2 of the MGC Handicap Championship weekend.

    9:30 AM start.

100 Singles then the 200 Handicap Championship targets.

Thanks to Valley Buick, Pontiac GMC for their support. Also Wixon Jewelers, Bernice Overby/Edina Realty, J&S Custom Guns, Minnetonka Gunsmithing, Plaza Dental, TSA Shooting Accessories, and Lighting Affiliates.

Huge targets with special glow in the dark orange on them, great background, great support staff, FREE ROAST PORK DINNER, and some really nice prizes.

C'mon out and bust a bunch.

    Hope to see you there.

Dennis Kecker held it together today to win the Minneapolis Gun Club Handicap Championship. He had a 93--92 from the 27 yd. line to win the title in a shoot off.

We saw all weather conditions today but snow. The temp only got up to 64 and there was wind, rain and sunshine. Want some different weather? Hang around Minnesota for 5 minutes and you'll get your wish. It was a good thing we roasted porky outside today, it was a place the shooters could warm up a little before they took the line.

Thanks to everyone who shot today and made all the work worthwhile. Tomorrow is 100 Singles and 200 Doubles. Hopefully it will be a little warmer.

    Hope to see you there.

Poor Ithaca$$$Grade, he's now 0 for 137 in belt buckle opportunities. As for which gun Kecker shoots it doesn't seem to matter. He shoots well most of the time anyway.

But what is with the low scores? Wakowak must have forgot to tell the help not to use those wooden targets he saves for the days our team shoots league.

    Good job Dennis.

Lit, I can't believe he's missing the parade in Mpls today--or--maybe he isn't really in Nebraska like he claims to be.

    Jim W...

Its about time they took you off of the classification table... Finally got an objective, realistic person on that job....

Don't worry about adjusting that BBgun.... Next time I see it on the rack, maybe I will take care of adjusting it for you....

Aw Denny, go easy on the Prez. He's out driving around boosting the economy seeing how much diesel fuel he can push through that brothel on wheels. And as far as him not shooting a target in the North Star State...well he does. He shoots league at the Mpls. Gun Club. He isn't on top of the leader board for total targets hit though. When you see him you'll have to ask him if he can pronounce the last name of who is. :>)

LWL, you shoulda been there. You were the only past Champion that wasn't there. The targets were tough, damn North wind coming in made 'em jump, and Dennis and Tom Petty did real good to get the 185. First time on the Championship 200 that there was a shoot off. The roast pork was real tasty and done just right thanks to Mark Hintz.....I mean "Bobby Munson Jr.". Start talking to the Mrs. now to get a kitchen pass next year.

Thanks to everyone who shot this weekend and made it a great shoot. We're planning the program for next year and it should be bigger and better. I'll see most of you up at the State Shoot.

Pleased to hear that Wakowak finally got himself a belt buckle. Of course nobody checked to see who set his targets. Let me see, President of the club arrives early, President of the club picks his squad, President of the club checks in with the scorer and the trap setter, President of the club shoots high score, President of the club wins his first ever belt buckle. Who says being The Prez is a thankless job. Now, if I can just figure out how this would work next week at Alexandria.

The President of The Minneapolis Gun Club was too busy working, making sure that everyone else had a good time, to participate in the signature handicap event. Our President was in constant motion and, as usual, leading by example.
The Minneapolis Gun Club is justly very proud of it's President!

All kidding aside, Charlie is correct. There isn't a time that I speak with Jim that he isn't working or promoting the club. Every club should have a Wakowak.
