Anyone that voted for Obama before and is thinking about voting for him in 2012 had better think again? Anyone considering a 2nd term with this Facist needs to have their head examined!!! Here is another example of how he is trying to get more money out of every household...In the name of road repairs...LOL! IL has a toll system for that and look at how well that is working for us? Worst traffic coupled with the highes gas prices in the country!! What a winning combo! Oh yeah...IL is where Obummer is from!!

    New Driving Tax En Route?

Annoyed with the cost of gas? Pump prices could soon be the least of our problems. Washington lawmakers are tossing around a potentially painful idea: a driving tax that would charge motorists by the mile.

What’s the reason? America needs more money to fix and maintain its highways and infrastructure. Because greater fuel economy now allows drivers to travel more miles on less gas, the current gas tax that funds federal roadway projects isn’t producing enough money.

While an official bill proposing the tax doesn’t yet exist, The Hill reports that the draft transportation legislation from the Obama administration included the driving tax, as mentioned by CNNMoney. Still, administration officials told the paper that it was just a suggestion, and was not necessarily supported by President Obama.

So how much would it cost you? Well, that would depend on how much the government wants to make. If it wanted to maintain the current collection amount it makes from gas taxes, the driving tax would be just under a penny per mile for an average car. But that seems pretty unlikely. Between 2008 and 2010, the federal government had to supplement the Highway Trust Fund by an additional $30 billion, according to a CBO report and as mentioned by CNNMoney. So if a driving tax replaced the gas tax, it would take a little more than a penny. Either that, or motorists would pay the gas tax AND the driving tax, too.

"Still, administration officials told the paper that it was just a suggestion, and was not necessarily supported by President Obama". LOL!

Can someone explain to me how you can suggest an idea and not support the idea you just suggested?

ARE YOU LISTENING TO WHAT THIS GUY IS SAYING PEOPLE?
