Yeah blame the rich, the reason we have gotten in the position we are in is because of greed and I want it now, so they go out and spend money they don't have on junk they don't need and then the wife had to go to work to pay for it and then she starts thinking well I am working I want more junk and then she goes and buys it on credit of course and the cycle keeps going until they are bankrupt

    CharlieAMA,

The private sector is doing fine. My last job just flew away to Europe with Delphi. I'm 61 and now everybody knows thata there is no age discrimination in the work force. Just ask BHO. Just sayin I am an engineer and cost analyst and haven't worked in 5 years. But then again they don't count me in the unemployment figures cause I dont get the gubmint dole. I also kinda like the retirement thing----I have more time for Trap Shootin'. LOL

Just look at Walmart. They created a workforce of 2 million+ lower class part time wage earners on food stamps. Those people may have once been middle class wage earners prior to the advent of Walmart and their contemporaries. But, Walmart, Target, K-mart, Home Depot, Lowe's and the like, drove all those family owned business's out of business. And there went the Middle class jobs in retail. Which, employee's more people than any occupation. We once were a nation of shop keepers and small manufacturers. Today it's Big Box Retailers, and Chinese small manufacturers. USA the food stamp country......

Midalake's right and Obama said he was going to fix this at one of his $35,000 per plate fund raisers. Damn that corporate greed! Teddy Kennedy hated rich people.

There's a lot of truth in this quote.

Walmart and the big box stores have driven manufacturing out of North America by constantly demanding a lower and lower price.

China, with it's coolly wages and sub human working conditions were able to fill that need. Just look at the place of manufacture for most things in Walmart.....China. I believe the Chinese government has been complicit in this 'drive to the bottom' pricing strategy, and the American,...and Canadian population have participated in it too. One has to ask how raw materials can be shipped to China from North America, made into goods and re-shipped back to North America at prices cheaper than we can do it ourselves, without some subsidy from the Chinese government. Heavens, in North America, the cost of transportation is a significant player in the shipping of North American goods.

Americans and Canadians need to wake up and start buying the North American made items...even if it means paying a bit more. The product is superior and won't break, or poison you within a month.

Take a look at the food items in the super market. How many are grown in China and other Asian countries? Buy stuff from home. That will re-start the North American economy.

The small businesses went out because of government regulations. The small guy cant afford a person,in each field, to study safey, environmental, tax and BS issues that are required now.

So now WM drove US manufacturers out of business- beam me up Scotty. That makes as much sense as saying that the largest employer in the coutry (WM) destroys jobs. When Sears was the largest employer nobody ever came up with any such nonsensical drivel.

Well I know alot of people that make a good living at wal-mart. I have family members that have worked at the U S Poastal service for 20 years. I also have family members who have worked for goodyear in a tire plant for 30 years. They make twice what they make. They have good benefits a retirement account. Something no other small business ever provided me. Walmart has never putt one small business out of business. The consumer did that with were they spent there money. Yes there is several different levels of pay at Walmart. You can start out a part time hourly employee and work your way up to a corporate officer. That's as Amarican as it gets. How far you can go is up to you.

I have heard Sears is matching the pay for their employees who serve in the military. I other words, you leave for service, Sears make up for the difference between their pay and service pay till you get back on the job. I can't prove this, but have heard it. OK, you may now bombard me. Charlie

OK, smokey, that's dandy but that was years ago if it ever really was the case. Now, since you're an expert on Wal-Mart's pay scale, tell everybody just what it is and how it compares to it's competitors, including Sears.

That would be great Charlie but "I have heard..." doesn't make it a fact.

According to your video you should just work 40 hrs a week to live a luxurious life. Well I don't know many ( rich) people or small or large business owners that work just 40 hrs a week. I know I put in alot more hours when I ran my own business then I ever did when I worked for someone else. I have never heard a small business owner wish his employees would get a union started in his work place. That's what every business needs is one more group trying to tell them how to conduct there business. They have enough of that with the government hoops they must jump through. But the unions do a good job of Takeing your money and telling you that you are intitled to more then you've worked for. If you want a better life get off your behind and go get it. Stop borrowing money for the latest gadgets & save for a better life.

Hussein has made the new middle class a second tier poverty class. Both will soon be one in the same. The rich will never be bothered by a libtard even as hard as he will try to redistribute their wealth. Libs want rich and poor and nothing in between. That way they have control over the vast majority and a dependant majority. The election just proved this theory correct. When you get a majority of leaches, parasites and government dependants you have become their master. And they are dumb enough to keep voting for it.

John Galt: The average Walmart worker makes $8.30 per hr nationally. For a 40 hr week that comes out to 70% of the poverty line for a family of four. Which means, the taxpayer is subsidizing 30% of that workers livelihood with food stamps and welfare benefits. That is a Walmart full-time worker (less than 40%). And guess what, all the other big box stores follow the Walmart lead. Do you really think anyone wants to work at a Walmart? They work there because they have too. They have no other opportunities. The big box stores have driven the price down because of their massive buying power to the lowest cost vendor. And who is that? The vendor with the lowest manufacturing cost-----China, Mongolia, Pakistan, India. It sure isn't the old USA. Wake up, John Galt. Reality is staring you in the face but, you can't see the Forest or the Trees.
