My five year old micro wave oven just quit on me today. I just use it for heating coffee and warming small side dishes. It will not even melt butter now. Is there a fuse that may need replaced? Or do I just go by a new oven? Tom

Probably a fuse or fuse link, but it's cheaper to just get a new one, it makes no sense but that's what it has come to

I had that happen to me before, just was a fuse. LOTS cheaper than a new one.

We have a double oven GE circa 1985. It has the microwave oven on top and the convential oven on the bottom. Two years ago the magetron(?)tube went. It was not a cheap repair. Whole new stove was out of the question. If it is just a warmer upper new small ones are fairly cheap.
