I was told that Jerry Glisson, Keith Heeg, and Jim Creighton were going to run for the BOD at the State shoot.
These guys should get voted in, if you want to continue to have a trap venue like the MTA in Michigan.

    My $.02.

I had the honor of serving with Keith (and Barry) on the MTA BoD ten years ago. He worked hard and did a great job.

I know Jerry and Jim, and all they've done for the MTA and trapshooting in general over many, many years.

These are first-class people. They certainly have my vote.

According to the MTA Program, "The election of MTA Directors and ATA Delegates will be on Saturday, July 27, 2013...., and will take place between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm."

If past practice is any indication, I believe they won't let you vote without you showing your paid up ATA membership card. Break 'em all! Tom Ruble

Your paper card is required to vote. You dont get one if your ATA dues are not paid.

Can an MTA member pay their dues to become a life member right up to the elections? If so, please let us know where we pay and who. Don't want to hear that you had to pay at the cashiers window and it's closed now. $50 sounds like a small price to pay to get a few worthless pieces of sh*t sent packing.

I believe in addition to being a MTA life member you must be a Michigan resident and ATA member to vote for BOD and a Michigan ATA member to vote for delegate.

Check your program for the times and plan on attending the annual meeting also.

    WHY WHY WHY!!!!

WHY Can I be a MEMBER of the ATA, A RESIDENT of MI, PAY MTA DAILY FEES and "{NOT}" Be allowed to vote for the PEOPLE who are the MOST IMPORTANT stewards of the home grounds and trapshooting in Michigan!!!!!!

BUT I CAN VOTE FOR ATA DELEGATES!!!!

    GREAT!!!!

IF ONE PAYS "MTA" FEES in ANY given year, "IS A RESIDENT" and is an "ATA" MEMBER.

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO VOTE!!!!!!

NOT HAVE TO PAY A "LIFETIME" fee!!!!!!!!!

This is ONE of the biggest reasons the MICHIGAN system is BROKE!!!!

AND Someone who is a "LIFE MEMBER" and DOES NOT maybe even shoot any more can call the shots..............

    GREAT.

Please wake me when the "Exclusive Club" "Old Boy's Club" attitude changes!!

midalake, in years past when the 500 SCTP youngsters shot in their competition at the Michigan State Shoot, do you think they should have been allowed to vote for MTA Directors? They were all Michigan residents, ATA members and paid MTA fees, after all.

GoldEx, see MTA Recording Secretary J.D. Faltin in the back office to become a Life Member. He can probably take care of you right up to the election, but it's easier on him if you get there early. This is a busy time for him.

He can also check the current membership list for anyone not sure.
