KE (Kenitic Energy) is the 1/2mvv/G formula with respect to G, gravity.

There is more to this that the simple equation. You engineers out there, mechanical in particular, will know this is really a moment force based more on the horozintal component of recoil FORCE, BUT you have to take into consideration the triangular configuration of the surface of the recoil pad and where EXACTLY you intend to measure this force. The ME's will have a better handle on this, if they even care. Whew........

In other words this is an equilibrum question really... Have to think the porting ONLY serves to lessen vertical muzzle rise, and not recoil.

I was suprised to read that #1-back boring only reduces the gas seal between barrel wall and wad, therefore reducing efficency...#2 longer chokes make zero difference in improving patterns. 1more

For the ones that want's an email copy instead of bothering MIA with emailing them , all you have to do is right click each photo and select the save picture as selection and you can save it to your hard drive just look where it is going to save it at most of the time it will be in your document's/then my pictures, but you can also select where you want it to go.

But Foggy - it's not all there! The punch line is on the last two pages and you really can't appreciate the oddity of the handout - and of Jack himself - without reading it.

Anybody read anything unsettling yet? How about the bottom of page 4 and top of page 5?
