No, he's talking about the State Association dues.

I don't recall exactly, but $22 sounds right for KTA (Kansas Trapshooters Association)

But can he go to Iowa and not have to pay a guest fee since he would be considered an out of state person?

Virginia State Assoc. dues are $0. I would not expect them to go up or down anytime soon.

Lumper, I don't know of any states that charge guest fees for out of state shooters for ATA shooting.

$22.00 per year is the highest that I have heard of. I think IA is $7.00.

Frank ... is that each and every week when you go to Mass or is $10 membership dues to cover you for the entire year in the Catholic Church?

Delaware is zero but even that bargain price does not attract shooters. (And our association by-laws don't make it easy to levy fees on the membership either so I don't see any changes coming).

I'm a bit confused....Are these state trapshooting assoc. dues? What do you get for your dues? Do you still have to pay state fees when shooting registered targets? What does the membership funds go for?

Yes state ass. dues We pay 2.00 bucks per 100 at reg shoots, I think that the 22.00 a year help fund our state shoot every year, and the up kept at our home grounds KTA.

There seems to be confusion as to exactly "what" dues/fees the first poster is inquiring about. In AZ - we charge a $2.00 daily fee - target entry fees vary by club and we do have Arizona Association Membership Fees for residents. Those fees are $2.00 per year or $25 for a Life Membership. Basically, just like the ATA except for the actual cost. Many states do not have resident membership fees - and many do. In response for what do you get? I would say that depends on each state association.

Missouri is $10.00 per year or $100.00 for a life membership. Then there is the daily fees per day.

For my $10.00, I get the knowledge that I am helping support the state shoot, and anything else that they deem necessary.

John- You pay $10 per year to shoot registered targets in Missouri. But, I can travel to Missouri and shoot registered targets without paying $10 per year. Does that imply that you are subsidizing out of state shooters?

It does and I don't have a problem with that. $10.00 is two McDonalds lunches. I get far greater enjoyment from participation than the 10.00 will ever mean to me.

I will be more than happy to subsidize you if you ever come to Missouri. Stop by campsite B-72 at Linn Creek and I'll buy you a beer or pop. That means that I would have about $11.00 invested for the year lol.

Pat, "Pop" is what you and I know as a soft drink, or soda.

Beer is what you and I know as poor man's whiskey.
