According to the latest figures out from the Internal Revenue Service, median family income for a family of one (1) in Missouri is down 2.04%; and for a family of three (3), medium family income is down 4.1426% in Missouri -- who would have ever thought we would see median family incomes going down!!!! Things are not good. This is a very bad indicator!! the beav

Certainly, the economy is in bad shape but reliance on the median income can be misleading. The median income can decrease at the same time the average income increases. The median is simply a mid point for all incomes.

Just think, income going down (mine included), prices increased (for the things you use such as gasoline, food & SHOT), now is that the Hope & Change that we can believe in? To be fair, prices for your house, if you're selling it, went down; property taxes likely did not decrease. Taxes for those who file a Form 1040, you lost the max. of $1,000.00 which had been added to your standard deduction (property taxes deduction) for 2010, along with the possibility of paying additional taxes via the Alternate Minimum Tax (it's now in the $40's for filing year 2010) method; oh, I think that ends up being a loss to many taxpayers. Now, if you think we're moving in the right direction continue to re-elect the same people back into office on November 2nd.

Don't forget, we still don't know about the Bush Tax Cuts sunsetting. So if they expire, and, nothing replaces these tax cuts, then add to the list of things that have or will be increasing. Oh, I forgot, health insurance premiums going up. Tomorrow is take the trash out day. BT-100dc
