MEC 9000 collet

    just bought a new mec progressive loader and it works like a dream except the collet seems to be a little tight. just wanted to see if anyone else has had that problem or if it might just be a little shot lodge in there.

    Lube it and adjust it. HMB

    Yes lube it. It will need a small amount of lube every 10K

    Why do you think it's tight. My guess is lube it but don't adjust until you are sure the new press from mec came out of adjustment-- certainly possible but doubtful if my experience with mec is representative. Look on shotgunworld.com for step by step cleaning and lubing instructions, with pics, for the collet by curly no hair. Enjoy
