It's not just the military. These young men and women today are generally morally loose. Look at what goes on in the nations liberal colleges.........it's party central with anything goes. Being lead around by Hollywierd types.

Why would we expect the military to be any different than society in general? It's the same old -hit from the double-standard libbers. Anything to distract from reality. The IG came out with a statement that about half the reports are false, or, retaliation for broken hearts. They've been taught well by the feminazi's.

Let them rant about the colleges and congress, same crap there. That's when I'll think about believing that they are sincere.

It certainly is not just the military. Most have learned those things before they got in the service. Several years ago I was spending a couple of weeks with my kids at Panama City beach. We finally had to leave due to the things that were going on. There were guys and girls cutting melons in half digging out the melon and fill it up with vodka. They were so drunk they were peeing their pants, throwing a blanket down and covering up with another blanket and having sex. I'm not talking about a few kids as it was spring break so there were thousands. I called the cops and they basically did nothing. Jackie B.

Well, see there...that just proves you guys aren't paying attention. In Gene's world, it's your duty to give up your pursuit of your careers and go peel potatoes in a barracks somewhere, and "mix" with these cretins, thereby passing off your superior behavior, attitudes, and work ethic on them, in exchange for "earning" your right to vote, own guns, and be called a Real American.

We just need to re-write the Constitution to force you all to A) submit to it, and B) somehow get the cretins to stop screwing each other in plain sight long enough to pay attention. It's that simple, you see.

Then with any luck, you will all stop being unreasonable Tea Party austerity cranks with your inscrutable fascination with living within our means, and instead support ever-increasing government spending on the above kinds of social programs. Think of it as, "Lyndon Johnson on Amphetamines." Then you can pass off the bill to future generations, and get on with the business of being good little Socialists, like the Swiss, or even better, Theocratic Socialists, like the Israelis.

We can all spend Memorial Day marching around in our feathered hats and Knickers, with Lyndon Johnson buttons pinned to the suspenders, Torah in hand, with our wooly caterpillar eyebrows and never ending war and public debt as far as the eye can see. "Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite." That's Gene's vision of America.

Sounds a little screwy, don't you think?

    Regards from Indiana,

I was on a college campus in the mid 70's and again in 2007 to 2009. I really did not see any difference in morals of either generation of students. What has deteriorated is the wisdom in leadership relating to how to handle mixed gender situations.

The federal government needs to stay out of how the military runs its business. The military is NOT the place to play social experiment/social engineering games. This whole trouble began when Washington demanded the military change the gender role policies that actually worked and replace them with the ignorant policies that do not work in civilian life either.

I wouldn't go overboard with these sexual assault accusations. I wouldn't doubt these people consider a stare as sexual assault. I find it hard to believe that sexual assault is considerably higher in the military than anywhere else.

Before you spit the bit, I strongly condemn sexual assault. But, especially in modern America, everybody is a victim.

Poor old Gene just can't catch a break LOL

Somehow I feel slighted, I was a child of the 60's but was raised in rural NW Iowa, there was no make love not war, no free love, etc, then when I was 17 I enlisted in the USAF, all the WAF's were uglier than homemade soap, they would have had to pay me to assault one, then I got sent to Thailand, while the sex wasn't free the price was quite modest, then when I came home all the good looking hides called me a baby killer although I am not sure if I ever did or not, hard to tell from an airplane

No in the 2000 all the kids are getting their jollies off when ever they want it and I'm too damn old LOL

gee, what was the argument years ago about women in combat??

hummmm, those who spoke out against it must have known and foreseen what would happen.

oh I forgot, the PC crowd won out.

Oh ya, you also lead by example! Checked out the "examples" lately??

Not only are our liberal colleges morally "loose". The most conservative Bible belt states have the highest rates of divorce, teen pregnancy, divorce, murder, STD's etc. Teach your children well.

I highly doubt that if you obtain data with a level of granularity that goes down to the town/city level, rather than hiding behind state boundaries, you'll find that "blue" areas score better on all those measures you listed.

But I'm willing to listen, assuming you intend to speak with sufficiently granular data.

McCain has played the POW card so many times even he has to sick and tired of hearing about it ... He is a typical Politician, says one thing does another ... He and a bunch more should be lined up in front of a F______ Squad ... (fill in the blank) ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
