If this is the Morton unit I have one in one of my 1100's. It works ok but I really do not tell much difference in recoil from this, I wanted it mostly as a shell catcher that would also let me shoot doubles so I got what I wanted to accomplish. In retrospect I wish I had just used the TS shell catcher.

    Mike,
You have to drill a hole in your mag. tube to install. If you don't like the unit you can take it apart as explained in the booklet it comes with. The problem is if you don't like the extra weight in the mag. tube you have to send it to remington to fix it,other wise the action will not open upon firing.(I learned the hard way.
