I was out checking out the Remington Web-site yesterday and saw that they were purchasing Marlin Firearms.....This is rather interesting...Was Marlin in trouble?

Are they just outright buying them?

Cerberus owns Remington. They also own Bushmaster. Marlin wouldn't have been acquired by Remington unless approved by Cerberus management.

Dennis ... I dont think Remington actually had a choice because anything and everything they do is approved or denied by Cerberus.

I'm still waiting for a 1500 RAM truck with an 1100 hanging in the cab.

    Cerberus owns them all.

You may have a great marketing idea. Buy a Ram 150 pickup and get the free Remington, Marlin or Bushmaster firearm of your choice.

However, I would like mine to have a new stainless steel 336 in .308 Marlin Express in the gun rack.

I was at Gamaliel Shooting Supply yesterday and they had a new Model 39A .22 lever action with a half magazine that was very tempting to buy.

Marlin, Remington and Bushmaster all make fine firearms. I am not including their imported junk.
