If you participate in a 500 bird marathon, have the necessary three shooters, and one becomes ill and has to withdraw after 300 targets. Can the other two finish and get the 500 or does everyone have to go home after 300?

Good question. It should be the same as if it were a 100 bird event and one person dropped out after 75. It's a 500 bird event, not 5 100 bird events. They should be able to complete the event.

I was told by a state delegate, if the required 3 shooters shoot the first 100 targets, the remaining targets in the marathon can be shot by as little as one shooter.

This only refers to a marathon event.
