1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Are the trigger guards aluminum or plastic?

Plastic, I'm not sure if MP is still making them out of aluminum.

The ones you have are Polymer. Actually Magpul does make an aluminum one but it isn't cheap. I have a Dark Earth Polymer on my AR. They work great and allow for you to wear gloves with plenty of room for the trigger. I love the Magpul stuff.

I didn't know if they were continuing to make the aluminum ones or not. Like you mentioned the polymer ones work fine, and there isn't any real need for an aluminum trigger guard on the AR platform. For $10 they both look and work great.
