When leaving a magazine for a auto rifle or handgun loaded should you stuff the magazine full or leave a few rounds out? I always wondered if it causes damage to the magazine follower spring when kept loaded. Can anybody enlighten me on the proper way to store a loaded magazine? Is there a procedure for making the springs last longer. I have a couple magazines that just don't seem to feed like they use to.

You can't hurt a good German spring. Other springs when they have lost some of their power can be stretched and put back in the magazine. HMB
