FIVE SHOPS THAT I HAVE TALKED WITH TODAY ARE EXTREMELY BUSY, WITH NO END IN SIGHT. IS THIS THE CASE EVERYWHERE? THE BUSY SHOPS OFFER CNC (2D & 3D), LATHE WORK, WIRE EDM, HEAT TREATING, ETC. IT'S GOOD TO SEE THIS TREND ... NOT LIKE LAST YEAR.

I'm out here in Southern California, and we are busier than we've been in years. And the requirements just keep coming!

Not so good here in Connecticut, speaking for myself, and a few guys I talk with at other shops.
Thinking of moving South actually, cuz when this project is done I see layoffs coming.

I worked for 30 years as a mold-maker and cnc programmer machinist in the Chicago area. Got laid off last June and could not find anything. Now a few places are picking up around here...all you have to do is want to work for 60% of last years wages. No thanks
