Selling for friend's widow, VERY nice M1A. Comes with B-square scope mount, match sights, hard case. 2 - 5 shot and 1 - 10 shot clips. 1500 plus actual shipping to your FFL.

I judge this to be a Super Match, early version by the 11 pound weight and the very fine 3 & 1/2 lb trigger. Single lug rcvr, later they had 2 recoil lugs.

    S/N 053XXX.

I have a complete set of photos to email serious inquiries.

I didn't count, just 1 large and 2 smaller clips, the smaller ones are in the right side of the picture. The small ones hold 5. I am not a military rifle afficionado, so my knowledge is limited.

I think Oz is confusing the M1A with an M1 Garand.

M1 Garands were intended for 8 round en-bloc clips of .30'06 (7.62x63). For matches, there are 5 round bloc clips available.

The M1A is an M14 (and shares traits with its predecessor Garand). These however, are chambered in 7.62x51 NATO (.308 Winchester), and are fed by detachable box magazines - 5, 10, 20, even 30 round.

Whats in the picture, and being sold here is an M1A (M14) - and a nice one at that.

Sold pending funds and etc. Thanks all who responded.

The larger clip FYI would hld 10 rds, but has a wooden filler limiting it to 6. Easily removed, I think the ban had something to do with that.

The issue M14's had a 20 round clip. A full auto weapon logically needs capacity.

    Again, thanks, guys.
