M12Y Question

    I recently saw a M12Y...with white hydrocoil stock. Would this be orginal to the gun?? The guy was asking 1000.00

    Like I said NO. More then likely the gun had some bad wood or no wood at all . When buying a Winchester Model 12 the first thing you need is to know alot about them . Buy some good Winchester books then talk to some of the older guys at the club they shot them and love to talk about it . A good Y-Model trap will cost you $800 or more and around here a pre-64 trap nice is over a grand

    Never say never when it comes to the Custom shop. I know first hand of one of the pre 64 clean up guns new in the box made in 1976 with a Winchester letter. I have 1200's and 1400's with the factory Hydro-coil's, they were made during the same time frame as the Y guns. So YES it is possible. Jeff

    Well duhhh....how about the Y model that I have that came with a brown Hydrocoil on it? Still say never?
