Lynchburg VA Trapshoot Oct. 6

    Izaak Walton League of Lynchburg will be holding an ATA registered shoot on Saturday October 6, 2007.Program will be 100 singles, 100 handicap, and 50 pair of doubles. Lunch will be available on the grounds. Registration starts at 9.00am. Singles shooting starts at 10.00am. Billy Wood

    I don't think you want to go squirrel hunting this time of the year. The reason is I have seen the tree rats with wasps eggs under their skin. You may get some but I don't think you want to keep them. Trapshooting I think will be more rewarding for you this weekend till we get some cold weather.

    Sounds good. I just hope that the tree rats are in better shape then the ones that I have seen here. Have fun Sat and good luck.

    Billy- I will have to miss the Lynchburg shoot this month. I will be at the South Carolina Hall of Fame shoot. See you soon.

    Wish you luck in your hunting. Your response made me think about how long it has been since I've been squirrel hunting. My family did so much when I was young I couldn't have imagined I would go for years without taking in this simple pleasure. My Mother canned squirrels in Mason Jars, I can just about taste the gravy now.
