Even though we have beautiful weather, I am noticing that there seems to be an abnormal amount of low scores. (including this author). Maybe the wind?

A lot of eyes have been sleeping all winter. Once they start aquiring the target faster and focusing better the scores will go up. I usually shoot much better at the end of a shoot than at the beginning and i think it is because the eyes are working better the more targets it sees. JRM

Leo and Harlan and Kay must have turned down their 2 yard reduction.

Maybe it's the 2-yard reduction? Folks aren't use to being so close to the target! :)

When they get that close the noise of the trap is distracting them!

This mornings handicap scores are dominated by short yardage shooters (at noon central, I'm assuming all the scores are posted).

96 to be top 10. Weather looks perfect, no wind, although it's partly cloudy and I've seen the scores dip there before when the clouds come.

Targets were great when you could see 'em. Target setting was real nice on my banks. It had to be-I came in 7th in the Preliminary Handicap. The 24 yd. line targets looked like long Singles to me this week. Not being at that yardage since 1979 was fun but didn't last long-200 targets!!

Spent the week there with my brother....Back in Ct. now after a direct flight from Tampa to Hartford. Targets were great all week and we shot on "both sides". Breeze at times seemed to either raise them up or flaten them out,,,either way thats the way it goes. Would have liked to shoot better, (who dosent), but the events all week ran like clockwork. Went to see Dr.Rively for an exam on Saturday aftenroon which was long overdue, (havent had a eye check in 20 years, though eyesight has completely gone down hill) and was very impressed. Picked up some new glass Sunday morning and cant wait to shoot being able to see the targets.
All in all this is a wonderful shoot with great people and staff!!!!!.... Cant wait tilll next year.
