Lost or Dead

    Shooter calls for bird and shoots. the bird jumps side ways but no visible chip.Lost or dead?

    its LOST not enough for a kill also known as a DUSTED bird.

    The force of the shot pattern passing can affect the aerodynamics of the bird... therefore, no visible piece...

    Go to Elysburg. South End or some of the other big clubs in PA; some of the scorekeepers will give you a target if it changes direction enough...chipped or not.

    The scorekeeper should be called on that. there should never be any free targets. Visable piece is what is needed to score it a lost target. The scorekeeper does not have the right to change the rules. Jeff

    I agree with Jeff. The rules are there to make it fair for everyone who competes in ATA competitions across the country. The people who take these targets are cheating.
