    "LOST CHURCHES OF LOUISIANA "

When devastating hurricanes struck the Gulf Coast , even

houses of worship were not spared.

A local television station interviewed a woman from New

Orleans and asked how the loss of churches in the area had

    affected their lives.

Without hesitation, the woman replied, "I don't know 'bout

all those other people, but we haven't gone to Churches in

years. We get our chicken from Popeye's."

The look on the interviewer's face was priceless.

They live among us, AND THEY VOTE.

Now do you understand how we got our president?

Who are "they" John? People from New Orleans, Louisiana?

I find people like YOU kind of scary.

We don't have a Popeye's but I ate at one at the Atlanta airport last winter..Your right, better than KFC. One thing I noticed though is the menu's are almost identical. Take the label off both and set them side by side and it would be hard to tell which one was which.

I removed the first part after rereading the OP's post.

The chicken isn't the point. The reporter is referring to places of worship. Just in case someone is not getting the message.

One difference in the menu is the offering of Red Beans and rice, which won't be found on KFC I don't think....

On second thought; they really aren't on Popeye's either as the facsimile thereof they offer is really terrible mush.

I'd hate for that to be someone's only exposure to New Orleans-style Red Beans and rice. The regular offering at our table bears no resemblance, complete with real andouille sausage, fresh French bread on the side, three or two spritzes of Tabasco, and a tall glass of sweet Ice Tea. YUM-YUM!

    I'm hungry now.
