    Hi Guys,

I am located in SE Wisconsin and would like to know if any of you have recommendations for a local gunsmith to fit a new O/U barrel to my son's Beretta 682 GOLD. I am looking for recommendations of smiths that you KNOW (preferably first-hand) have fit Beretta barrels, and have done good work. I'm in the Kenosha area and for someone within a 100 mile radius.

    Thanks for your assistance.
    Brad

Box Horn's Gun Club in Muskego had a good gunsmith working
there. Haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure he's
    still there.

Thanks for the repsonses. I did check with Kolar as they are only 15 miles from wehere I live, but they now limit their gunsmith services to only Kolar and Remington 90T shotguns. Doug Braker's shop is farther away than I care to drive. If I end up shipping the gun to have the barrel fitted, I will more than likely send it to Cole's. Before I do that, I will look into the Boxhorn Gun Club (great history, that club).

    Thanks again for the information.

You can always mail it to Coles. They do that kind of work. I just had 2 barrels fit by them, and they did a good job for the best price I could find in the country. About 1/2 of what Beretta factory wanted. Turn around was a couple weeks. He did some extra fix'in on my gun for no added cost and took care of a new forend for next to nothing. He really gave me a hell of deal. A month ago they were still in their new Florida shop, but they might be back in Maine by now? If you use them, you should call 1st to determine where to mail the gun/barrel to.

Good folks to deal with. So is John at Kolar, he did some work on my friends Flyer gun at Nationals a few years ago. Charged him a fraction of the normal cost for everything they did, they really took care of him. I shot with some of their friends that year, and their smith walked the course with us one day, all good guys also.
