I looked for a 13 hvy barrel for a long time and finally found one on GB. They are getting spendy. Mine is an FBI gun that was never issued

Makes me happy to see someone wanting a top quality revolver rather than the attitude that this is only an "semi-auto" era these days. While I love my Glocks....on each side of my bed lies a S&W M-64 4". About 15 yrs ago I let a LNIB M-65 3" pass in front of me for 250.00, have kicked myself many times over letting that deal past me.

Jim, fine choices for a revolver. I am curious, have you considered a 2-1/2" model 19 or a 3" model 66? Same guns as the 13 and 65 but have adjustable rear sights. Wayne

I've got a 16-3" in my bedside drawer but it is square butt. Fits me like a glove even when half-asleep with the target grips. Got it 20 years ago at a gun show for $275.00 out of pocket. Beside the drawer the 16 is in is my Mossberg 500 defernder 18' extended mag with a top slide safety for my left handed affliction!

wayneo the 13 and 66 not the same 'the 66 doesn"t have a heavy barrel.
Don"t get me wrong they are all good.

Federal, I believe the model 13 is the heavy barrel version of the model 10, which is a .38 special. I was always told the 13/19 and 65/66 were the same except for the rear sight. But I could have been misinformed. Wayne

No the 13 is a fixed sight 357 magnum. The model 10 had heavy barrel models but they didn't change the model number.

I thought about the Model 19 and Model 66 but I would rather have one of the fixed sight round butt models...

    Thanks,
    Jim Clifton
