1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

MIA, you're showing your age. All us old timers know a paper iron was a little plug in heater thing that was used to iron out the crimp area on paper hulls. Of course, that was during the time Federal paper shells were wax coated and that tool enabled us to squeeze a few more loadings out of each hard to get hull. I sold one on eBay a few years ago!!

The one I used to have was a round aluminum cylinder, tapered on one end to fit easily into the empty paper shot shell case. Mine was mounted upright on a hollow rod with an electric wire that was attached to a heating element in the aluminum cylinder. It clamped to the edge of a table or bench. I believe it was actually called a shotshell reconditioner.

Like oleolliedawg said, that was back when, Remington, Peters, Federal, Winchester and everyone else was using paper cases that were impregnated with wax.

I reload papers almost exclusively and I have been trying to figure out why I need one. I have no crimp probs but i do remember the older ones with wax that made it more difficult?? I guess I am older than Jack
