A buddy of mine is looking for a LH rifled barrel 20 gauge slug gun for his 12 year old son. Anyone have one they would part with cheap?

As a Lefty, I've been through all of this. Buy an inexpensive Ithaca 37 fully rifled barrel, and you can get a replacement safely (left hand) for under $40. The gun is bottom eject pump action, an with a lefty safety, it is totally a LH gun in 20 gauge. And damn accurate too. Good luck. ~AAB

I am also a lefty and have shot an Ithaca model 37 in 12 ga when I was young and much less wise. I know a 20 will kick less than a 12 but I cannot imagine the recoil of that 12ga gun with a load of buckshot or a slug. A 2 3/4 dram hunting load in that gun was probably the 2nd most unpleasant shooting experience I have ever had. The winner was a 3" mag load of 2 oz of BB shot out of a mossberg bolt action. That gun felt like it had a balsa wood stock on it and killed on both ends.

Being left handed forever, dedicated left hand guns came in the late 60's early 70's. My experience tells me right handed youth guns would work. Once he gets a little older. and bigger. The youth guns will suffer little depreciation
and I would recommend the Remington 870 Express Youth Model. The Ithaca 37 is a good gun but in 20 Ga. it will be pricey. A bit scarce as well.
