Looking for Claydot recipe?

    The only "Official" data available is at the link above. Anything else would probably be unreliable. Many have stated that Hodgdon Clays data could be used, but it's crapshoot. I'd suggest contacting Alliant and getting it in writing.

    go with the Hodgdon Clays data. Alliant has stated as such, several times over....

    I know you are asking about the Down Range wad, but if you're interested I load 18 grains of Claydot with 1-1/8 oz Blue Duster wad in STS hulls using either a Winchester, NobelSport, or Remington primer. (The only difference is lower pressure with the Remington primer)

    According to Downrange the data is interchangeable with their wad and the Blue Duster.

    I've shot over 10,000 rounds using this load with complete satisfaction. Its the only reload I shoot. I prefer this load because it leaves so little residue to clean up in my 391 compared to Red Dot, Promo etc etc
