1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I know what they are but what makes them desirable? Do they load better or last longer? Just curious as i have seen others looking for them from time to time.

They are a LARGE internal volume case great for "special" loads, and they run through the loader like Taco bell runs through a digestive system

Here's what I've got. 200-12GA red hulls-new, 100-20 GA yellow hulls-new, 250-12 GA red, 250-12 GA yellow, 250-12 GA green, 250-16 GA white and 250 20 ga yellow wads. I'd prefer to sell 'em in one batch. A fair offer plus shipping will be accepted. What's fair!!

Don't mean to be a buzz kill but...

In about 1985 20 gauge Activ hulls (not loaded ammunition) were available as a factory new component. They were packaged 250 per bag. If memory serves, they could be had either primed or unprimed. I bought 2500 of them via mail order.

I loaded one bag (250) using an Activ wad and data (a target load) supplied by Activ with the hulls. A number of these new hulls separated about 3/4" above the base with the first loading. More separated at the second load. I didn't load any more.

Activ later came out with a new and improved version. Old vs. new could be distinguished by the size of the lettering on the base of the hull. One had large letters. The other had small letters. I don't remember which had which.

My point? Be careful with Activs unless you know for sure that they are the new version.

Would love to have just one 12ga hull for my collection should anyone ever have one they are willing to part with. I don't even care if it has been loaded several times. I just prefer one you can still read the labling on it. Of course i'd pay for it and shipping. Perhaps someone could even bring me one to the Grand and i'll swap a beer of your choice at the beer tent for it. Thanks--Matt
