looking for a 24 gr recipe--win aa hulls--1350 fps

    the load is for intl skeet...looking for speeds of 1350 ...will be using #9 shot

    i will be using aa hulls or kent hulls...

    please advise

    1350 is on the upper end for 24 gram loads. IMO 700X would be a great powder. Check out Hodgdon's website to see the other components you can use.

    My friend uses Clays, makes some ungodly long skeet shots from the parking lot.

    He says the powder isn't as important as leading the target correctly. He used to shoot field trials and was one of the best.

    If loading for Intl', 20 gr Red Dot behind a Pink Claybuster in the AA hull.

    Same powder behind 12SO or clone in Kent hull.

    I can't remember what the powder drop is, 19.5gr sticks in my mind. But I use Clays with a pink Downrange wad, AA primers & AA hulls or Remington is even better. I get some very nice 24g loads that way.
