I went out today in the Pittsburgh area to find some 12S0 or clone wads for some 1 oz loads wads I want to try. Its been a good while since I've bought components but as they say "The shelves were bare" when it comes to reloading components. I tried Gander Mountain, Ace Sporting Goods and Cabelas (none of which I really like to deal with, but that's another story.) Unless you wanted Figure 8 or AA12, tough luck. Does anybody have another source for shotshell reloading components in the Pittsburgh area? I know I can get them on the web, but I only wanted a single bag 0f 500 for experimenting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CAC, but it's not local. You could also order a bag from someone like Midway-Usa. It would cost some for shipping, but it would save some gas.

Until you find exactly what you want, try using AA12 wads for 1 oz. I have been using up Claybuster 1 1/8 AA12 clones for 1 oz. - crimps and target breaks are good. Regards, Ed

Mike, I don't know about Federal straight walled hulls...I use Remington hulls only. Basically, if you find a low pressure 1 oz. load for Federal hulls using Winchester (or clone) pink SL 1 oz. wads, I would think the 1 1/8 white wads would substitute. If you load Hodgdon powder, give them a call. Regards, Ed
