Anyone know anything about Longines watches? I know they've been around a long time but don't know anything about them. Are they a good watch?

I believe they are god watches, but they are much more popular in Europe than here in the U.S. I don't know why.

Longines made some very good watches in the 50s and 60s, many with heavy solid gold cases.

Quality started to fade in the 70s and a friend of mine who does watch repairing for other Jewelers said the movements were poor quality. (Mechanical movements)
