Loading steel on a PW 800B or a 900

    What kind of conversion is required to load steel shot on a PW?

    I suppose you'd want whatever is behind door #1, door #2, or door #3.

    I don't know the difference (other than price) but I'm sure a call to P-W would clear things up.

    Mec has a steel kit as well, but we discovered we didn't really need it. A quick call to your mfr might help. Mec told me I didn't need it. I just got the steel charge bar, the correct powder bushings and moved the wad rammer tube down one notch.

    The way lead shot tears up my plastic shot gear I bet steel will really mess it up.I have an 800B and it shears shot,well big shot like 5's and 6's.I don't bother to check smaller shot as there is plenty in the shell.Call PW.
