I have found that Federal wads or Claybuster look a like give best seal

Federal Gold Medal or Fiocchi load data will be o.k. with Estate hulls. Just be sure to use a Federal of Gualandi wad (or any other ead designed for a straight-walled hull. The Estate hull has a slightly larger inside diameter compared to a Federal Gold Medal so the wads designed for tapered hulls (Winchester, Remington, Downrange, etc.) will not seal properly.

I have had good success with the Gualandi wads. I use the GU1222 (Grafs) for my 1 ounce loads with Clays. There are fiber and plastic base wads in the Estate hulls. The two cases have about the same volume.

I use pink 1oz clay busters with 18 grains of promo with Nobel primers and # 8 1/2 shot. These are exellent for sgls and the first shot in dbls. The Nobel primers are a wee bit oversize, but they are exactly the same size that estate uses. They slide right in to the estate hulls. These are a pleasure to shoot. I hope this info helps. Yes...have used them for many years without any problems.

16.5 grs. of 700X, 12S0 wad, 1 oz. of shot, federal 209A primer. Chrono's at 1175 fps. Very soft load.
