You probably want to use a buffer too. I think we used laundry powder. I also remember using an electric engraver to vibrate the buffer down.

I had an old Edwards signal buzzer, put a push button in a box and used it for a foot switch.

    Works great.

Cheerios for buffer helps give the lil birdies some fiber and keeps their heart healthy.

I 2nd the Ballistic products loads. They are great.

I pour my own 00 buck shot and Size F buck shot. I get a kick out of crow hunting with the smaller size buck shot. And play with different wads and powders often. Right now my favorite is a Green Duster wad 9 pellets of 00 buck shot and some cheerios setting on 17.6 grains of 700X. But this is in 2 3/4" shell. Have not tried 3" yet.

Is buckshot size proportional to the gauge so it sits right in the wad column?

    ie 00 for 12, 000 for 20?

    I havent ever tried it

    thanks
