Was hoping someone knows of a spring compression tool that I can purchase for removing the hammer spring out of my Ljutic. I have done it with various tools, just scared one of these times parts will go flying. Trying to prevent me sweeping the floor with a magnet looking for bits and pieces. Have heard of people welding tabs on plyers, will leave that as plan B. Hoping there is something I can buy.
Just remove the hammer first...its easier that way, rather than trying to force the spring into place...and while you're changing srpings, get one of the new springs that won't wear out...chrome silicon? Not sure what its made of, but is like the material used in auto valve springs...should remain full-tension much longet than the stock spring. Ask NAdine Ljutic. Ljutic is winding the springs themselves and has it "right".
