This brings it all back. Emotional for me. Iwam stil a fan of such groups like the Platters.
Remember those days-working on flathead V8 motors, parts from junk yards. Bought an old Harley once with a tank shift for $150, was a real hoot to ride. I still think we had the best of it.

    Bigdog,

That was for all us old, been there done that, good old boys. And by the way it brought a smile to my face too. Just like a 6 cent Coke and a 5 cent King Edward cigar did.

    Little Darln'.....Remember?????

I have my sirius radio set to channel 53 or 006 just to hear that old music. I also love songs like Harry Hippy, Let's stay together by folks like Al Green. I was stationed at Chicksands AFB just outside of Bedford England in the 60's and we had all the good groups play at the Airmans Club on base. Those were some fun days. Throw in some Charlie Pride and AAron Nevilles to go with it and I'm happy and relaxed. LOL I'm from South Georgia but have never been fond of most country music. It was just too sad. I like having fun and enjoying myself. LOL Jackie B.

Work on our cars on the weekends during the day, pickup the girl friend at night and head for the local 18 year old bar and listen to the juke box and drink 10 cent tap beer..... It doesn't get any better than that.

    Great post BIGDOGTX
