    1 lb = 16 oz

    25 x 16 = 400

    400 / 1 = 400

    1/8 = .125

    1 + 1.125 = 1.125

    400 / 1.125 = 355.556

Well you get 355.55 (1 1/8oz) shells from a 25lb bag of shot. That would equate to 400 (1oz) shells from a 25lb bag of shot.

1lb of powder is roughly 7000 grains so a load using say 18 grains will give you 388 shotshells per pound of powder.

The best place to get information on anything shooting related is right here on this forum. Just ask. I have rarely had a question that somebody here couldn't answer. If they couldn't, they pointed me in the right direction.
