light one oz load

    looking for a light one oz. load using red dot and Windjammer wad, 1115 to 1125 fps. Apc your help.

    It's been my experience that windjammer style wads and "ultra lite" loads are a bad mix. I'll not try to guess why but I'd opine that your choice of powders and a wad intended specifically for your choice of hulls would be a better starting point......Bob Dodd

    I've shot 17.2 clays and a windjammer wad for years.I know it's not red dot but it is about 1115 FPS. GaryL.

    Bob,
    I use Clays and windjammer wads with a 27 MEC bushing and get good results. Also have had good results with Green Dot. Gary, I'm using 15.8 Clays with Windjammer and it's sweet. I just happen to have 4 lbs of Red Dot.

    Try 16.0 grains of Red Dot and a Jammer XL-2 wad.

    Have you checeked the Alliant website? They have load data online.

    You can find what you are looking for there.

    Alliant website doesn't go below 1200 fps for one oz loads. but, thanks.

    You didn't look at the data carefully. There are 1140 and 1150 loads listed for both Remington and AA. Not 1125 but not 1200 either.
