    Dear Mr. President,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy.
Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can
call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them
$1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following
    stipulations:

    1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

    2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto
    Industry fixed.

    3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing
    Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their
    taxes...

Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social
Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!

Finally a plan that makes sense. That's just the reason it will never get adopted.

The idea makes sense but if it makes sense it will never get thru the "O" boys group. Do you really think those money grabbing politicos would give up anything to degrade themselves down to the level of the avegage person. If you do, I have a bridge for sale and will give you a heck of a deal.

I think injecting $40 trillion into the economy all at once would have some unintended and rather damaging consequences.

Sounds like a good plan but our money is worth nothing now let alone bringing in all those billions more. Dan

    Thank your buddy Hussein,,Dahaub.

"Just the facts on the Fiscal Year End: The 2009 fiscal year for the federal government ended 2 days ago. The deficit through the first 11 months was $1.4 trillion, 43 cents of every dollar spent was borrowed, and the national debt is now $11.77 trillion which is a 35% increase since Democrats took control of Congress in 2006. More debt has been accumulated in those 33 months than in the entire period of the nation's history from 1789 to 1989. You can draw your own conclusions, they are pretty obvious. This is unsustainable" John Campbell, Congressman - California
