I've called in two this year - one for a friend, one for my son (his first turkey), but did not connect myself this year.

I was in the Sacramento foothill communities about four weeks ago and the Turkeys were everywhere, in the pastures, in peoples front yards, hell one house we passed there were four within ten feet of someones front door.

This was my first turkey. The second hunt it finally happened! Thanks to TS for the advise on loads, 2 1/4 oz of 5's did the trick! Somebody said on TS that once you call one in your hooked for life, man that's the truth! Hells Bells I enjoy turkey hunting more than deer and elk! What a hoot. I took this bird near Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
