    Labor Union’s destruction of our economy


    This political fight is all about high unemployment, high-taxes, big government, and less Constitutional freedoms. "Taxed Enough Already" (TEA) is a huge group of average, middle income, and hardworking Americans who believe taxpayers are Taxed Enough Already. Most associated with the TEA Party associate themselves to the Republican Party as most members of the GOP support lower taxes, less government, more Constitutional freedoms, and more private investments for jobs. President Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats support more taxes, more government, less Constitutional freedoms, and government control of many investments and jobs.

    It appears that "Labor Secretary" Hilda Solis has become "Labor Union Secretary" Hilda Solis or at least a spokesperson for them. Labor Union demands for higher salaries and benefits have destroyed our manufacturing and other businesses' base, as surviving manufacturing has relocated to friendly regions, even foreign nations such as China. For America to restore its manufacturing and all other businesses' base, there must be a level field of balance between business and labor. President Obama and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis must recognize these facts. It must be acknowledged that most of President Obama's appointees are too entrenched in radical left-wing issues to change; to even realize the mandatory modification of positions.

    Primarily, the Democrat Party, in an effort to provide "all the wants" for "all the people" "all the time" has left our nation, many individual states, and even communities into the gravest debt ever. Their answer is now for the taxpayers to bailout the states, the communities, and even the Labor Unions. Do President Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats even consider bankruptcy for the United States? As former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said, "Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples' money".

    National Education Association (NEA) leaders boast regarding our education and how the membership is taking care of our children. The record will prove that the education test results have decreased during the past many years under the leadership of the Department of Education that is loaded with National Education Association's Labor Union representatives. If the NEA's test results on education continue to decline, there will be little left in our educational system. The Labor Unions continue to demand more salaries and benefits while delivering less for our children's education. The Department of Education must be abolished. Their leadership is much like a cancer. Immediate surgery is urgent.

    You amaze me, I didn't think there was anyone on the wet side who thought about America! That's if you are from Seattle.

    Agree with all you posted, I would go further and Outlaw all public sector unions PERIOD

    I realize there is a big push to do awat with unions. I believe it is more aimed at public sector unions instead of the trade unions.
    What I don't understand is how all these people that blame and bash unions for the loss of good manufacturing jobs get off telling me that I don't deserve the money I make. I don't think that my $33.00 an hour job is too much money. I don't get paid unless I work. I don't have paid vacation or holidays. I don't have health insurance unless I work.
    I can justify the money I make working as a union carpenter. I have the same expenses that a non-union worker has. I have a mortgage, vehicle payment, insurance ,utilities,etc. that you have. I don't tell you what church you should attend, so don't complain about me being a union man.
    Those jobs that went to China went to people that make 8 or 10 dollars a DAY and I'll make a deal with you. If you'll work for that kind of money then I will too. Until then leave the unions alone. We are Americans and we should be looking out for us and stop the infighting among ourselves.
    I don't know what any of you do for a living but from my side of the fence you are overpaid also.

    I think the average tax payer knows the difference between a trade union and a public sector union. The main difference is the trade union bargins with the private business sector, but the public sector union bargins with no one and the taxpayer who the public sector union worker is supposed to work for, gets stuck with one sided contracts that benifits the union worker only.

    Having said that, certain unions like the SECU, while being a private business workers union, still manages to slip it's hand into the back pocket of the taxpayer. That is not right.

    As to your comment about fighting amongst ourselves, you can thank the Democrat Party for the some 30 plus years of class warefare of rich vs poor, black vs white, gay vs straight, union, vs non union, big business vs union, etc., etc., etc.

    It often amazes me that the government being such a sacred enity to a lot of people, it's workers are represented by a union.
