Please read "Let’s Give Up on the Constitution" by Louis Michael Seidman, a professor of constitutional law at Georgetown University, in today's NYT.

This is what young people are taught today.

What did you expect of something printed in the New York Times?

The guy is a real nutball; someone who ordinarily would not be taken the least bit seriously.

Unfortunately, our once great country is now filled to the brim with ignorant JayWalk Allstars that will say "oh, hell yes" to the ideas proposed by Seidman, Ayers, Alinsky, Marshall and others of their ilk.

Without our constitution, this great country would just be another sh##hole country. This constitution has served us very well until the hippy generation and higher learning institutions went commie. The indoctrination of socialism to our college students has turned our youth away from the constitution and God and the instilled values that our older generations grew up with and passed onto my generation. I am 65 . We need to go back to teaching the constitution as it was taught to us in junior high school. Giving up on the Constitution is pure BS. Bill

The sad part of this that all of you are missing is that this sophomoric fool (redundant, I know) "teaches" at Georgetown! This was once a noted Catholic eductational institution. It has now become a joke, almost as obscene as Notre Dame. Once formidible institutes of learning have become willing to sacrifice their souls to be popular with the leftists in Washington.

This is a tragedy of the first order. However, if you are willing to compromise your ideals, that is sufficient for the elites to say you are "progressiove" and thus totally acceptable, regardless of the drivel you might spew!

Once we let the government start confiscating any citizens privately owned firearms, the rest of our arms are going to go fast, along with the second amendment. Without armed citizens and the 2nd amendments, the whole rest of the constitution will disappear with a single stroke of the pen. Better get used to living like a red chinese peasant. That same pot that is being heated to melt Semi auto rifles will be kept hot until they get the Beretta's, Perazzi's and Krieghoff's also. I do not care how rich or privileged you think you are, you will become a slave.

Just sent the good professor an email asking that if a majority representing the religious gun-toters got rid of the Constitution, would he still feel that his rights would be protected as they are currently.

We will see if he answers.

After reading the article I sent it to my son. His reply was that it takes a guy with the title of "professor" to say anything so freaking stupid and have anyone listen to it.

    shoot well

This is just the beginning of the campaign over the next 4 years to vilify and denigrate the Constitution. It will continue until they have convinced the "unwashed masses" of the irrelevance of the Constitution until they can ignore or suspend it at will.

Just read two very good articles on clashdaily.com that made me think.

    A. If we are in an ideologial paper battle right now where is our Dept of Defense?

    B. Where are the pro Constitution pamphlets that should be falling from the sky?

    C. Where are the pro Second Amendment leaflets that should be falling from the sky?

    D. Where are the names and numbers of who to contact? or who not to contact?

    E. Where are the patriotic TV commercials with the patriotic songs?

Why are the Second Amendment 'wedding/funeral crashers' (Obama, Feinstein, Schumer, Reid etc) allowed to continue unchallenged? Is this why Defense Dept cuts are a priority to this administration? No pamphlets, no booklets? No dollars or manpower hours to figure out who our enemies are? Let's play what's wrong with this picture...Seriously? Give up on the Constitution?

The two articles aforementioned on clashdaily.com are: "Not Ashamed of America's Gun Culture" by, RG Yoho and "Leadership and the Second Amendment" by General Jerry R. Curry.
