1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Guns and antiques are Leo 111's grandparents primarily.

The auction company WILL be accepting internet bids. Go to www.bidspotter.com and pre-register to be able to bid online. If you have any questions, call 660-327-5890.
These are Leo III's grandfather's lifelong collection of guns and his grandmother's antiques.

I imagine Leo always had a good time at grandpa's house.

If these are the guns no family member wants I can't imagine what the keepers were like!!! Nice collection.

    This caught my eye :

    (2) Winchester Model 12 trap guns,
30" barrels, new in original boxes

    or this:

Remington 3200 trap gun, over & under,
    12 ga. new in box

I wish the pix were clearer.

Lots of goodies there for shooters and collectors.

Some of the stuff looks interesting, but the pics are so poor you would be bidding on a hope and a prayer. Also, checked a couple of the "serial numbers" and they didn't match up with anything known from the manufacturer. Looks like a good auction to attend, and a risky one to bid blindly on thru the internet.

I have to agree with you Paul. You cannot internet bid on these guns. I contacted them for better pix and descriptions and was told--NOPE! What you see is what you get. Internet bidding on collectable guns is tricky at best and there is NO return if you get a gun that does not measure up! You gotta see these guns in person.

My guess is that there will be a buyer's fee, there will be sales tax, and a transfer fee. Adds up.

    "Sellers
Leo Harrison & the Late Mildred Harrison"

If I was the seller I would shop for someone other than the local auction house to conduct the gun auction.

My guess is the "good stuff" is being kept in the family. Could explain why local auction house used. Note at least a couple items have "bent ribs", etc.

There are no fees of any kind for the purchase of the guns according to "Charles Nordwald"(636-795-4552) head man @ the auction company. As far as local auction company, I do not believe this auction is all about the money, Mr Harrison would like to see what some of his playtoys will bring. Should be an interesting auction!
