I have a Lefever single barrel, serial no. 16773. Its has a ribbed 32'' barrel, auto ejector, no safety. When was it made? Is it a trap gun? Is it safe to shoot 1 oz. loads? It shoots really well. The metal is 90% and the wood is 70%, what's it worth? It's not a fancy gun, just a plain jane. I would appreciate any answers I can get.

The trap guns don't bring a lot of money, they are the same basic construction as the Nitro. Made by Ithaca. Nice old shooter if you have one.

There are some earlier Lefevers made by Uncle Dan L. that are better and more valuable but I don't know if they had a trap model.
