Was looking online today for a top quality, leather shooting bag. Shamrock leathers has some nice looking ones that seem reasonably priced.
Does anyone have experience with these bags?
What are some other top quality bags that you have used?

Top quality from a family owned buisness. Super super nice family. You won't be disappointed. They stand behind their products.

    Matt

P.S. I have alot of their products. My bag and one of my shell holders from them.

Some of the big dogs sell extra bags on this site at good prices. They are a good deal if you don't mind someones accomplishments on your bag.

All this and nobody has mentioned lonesome charlie. Makes some great bags and prices are as reasonable as others. I've got one that Ive been using since 95 and it still looks and works great. Had a twist-latch finally give way, and they fixed N/c. tHEY DO STAND BEHIND THEIR MERCHANDISE. give them a call for options before you make a purchase.

I just bought a Bison hide double pouch from Tex Hollis and am very pleased with the quality and functionality of the item. Very good value in my opinion -

I would shop from him again.

This is one of my favorites. I like the way the spring loaded top opens. Perfect size...not to small...not too big. High quality. Classy looking as well. Mulholland Field Sport Spring Box $$$

for clarification, when you are asking about a "shooting" bag... are you asking for something to carry shells and accessories to the field or use to hold shells while on the line (box carriers, pouch, etc...)?!

Everyone uses and interprets words differently...

I could also recommend Galco... taking nothing away from LCs or Shamrock (have a couple pieces of each...)

    best regards,

    jay

I am a big fan of Donny Weaver. He made me a custom bag, given the dimensions I wanted and the ability to hold X amount of boxes of 12 gauge shells (I forgot what amount of boxes of shells I wanted the bag to hold but it was something like 12 boxes). I use it now to carry my shooting accessories. It cost, back in 2009, around $425. Since then the bag has tanned nicely with age and wear. A little pricey but I like Weaver's leather shell pouches and bags.
    Here are some pics.

I've got bags from Lonesome Charlies and love them.
If you call them they will make whatever you want.
