Lead is cheap

    compared to oil. Over $90/barrel today, soon to be $100+. That means $3.00+ gasoline within a few months, higher prices for everything from tires, to plastics, to paint, to pharmaceutcals.

    Higher prices for airlines and trucking. Much higher prices for heating oil.

    Another $20/bag for shot and an extra dollar a box for factory loads will look like peanuts.

    But...we're building not even one new nuclear power plant. Cafe standards have increase not 1 mpg in 25 years.

    There is a nuke plant in the works in Texas, about 4 years till predicted start up. -Rich

    You're a real cheerful sucker. I'm gong to the tavern, no plastic glasses there. Gonna drink a whole bunch before the price goes up.

    Drink while you can afford it. Fox news reported yesterday that there is a shortage of barley and hops. Beer will see a price jump around the first of the year.
