You should consider googling LC smith forum

There are several forums and all the members are helpful

There are also diagrams in some of the threads.

If you did not cock the L.C before you broke it down, it will not go together. Take a small adjustable wench and turn the cockers on the front of the action, this will cock the side locks. To change the firing pins you must remove the side plates. Be extra careful to not bugger the screws. A regular frame will have 1 screw and a featherweight will have 2 on the left and one on the right. Take the side locks out and you will see the firing pins. Good luck on finding a pin. Might have to get a machinest to make them. Many different firing pins.

    Regards

    M.L.

Check with Dewey Vicknair of Vicknair Restorations in Lititz PA.

If you get Double Gun Journal, you can read the article on how he was commissioned to restore the LC Smith that Admiral Byrd took on board ship when searching for the North pole.

He specializes in vintage shotguns, works on many LC Smiths, and does excellent work.
