Hey TT...Wife and I were coming down, but tried last night to get a room like the last time at the Aliante(or however you spell it) and the whole town is booked up solid. Any insider information you could offer as to a nice place with reasonable prices would be appreciated. GaryL.

    Gary,

Hotwire (see link above) is showing a 3star hotel in the Nellis area for $85 per night.

A 3star hotel is along the lines of Holiday Inn Express, Radisson, etc.

The "Nellis area" is east of I-15 on Craig Road.

I'm finding anything around Nellis filled up. Could be because the Comstock open skeet shoot is the same weekend. I don't want to book on Hot wire because I want to know where I'm going before i pay for it. Looks like Circus Circus and Arizona Charlie's have rooms. Others too, but expensive. I'll see what I can do. GaryL.

Trim Tab is correct. Parts of the Nellis area of North Las Vegas (most of NLV) are like being in Mexico.

If I were you, I would stick with a casino/hotel. You know you will be safe there, and your car should be safer also.

I will be in town for the Comstock shoot. I was told that "Spring Break" was the reason prices are going up that weekend. Ron

March Madness weekends fill the hotels. Happens every March. Biggst sportsbook month of the year for wagering.

Well...I think I have a reservation at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa but I'm really not sure. I booked thru .OTEL.com and what a mess. Turns out I'm on the phone to someone in Turkey (Peggy?) because the website won't accept my payments. She's giving me the price in Euros and I still can't get a payment to go thru. I give up...then this morning I have in my email 1 verified reservation (I think), and two more duplicate reservations pending. Oh, and one that says sorry we couldn't get you a room, the hotel is full.
I can't wait to see what happens the rest of the day. GaryL.

Gary, might call the SP direct 702-796-7111 or 866-791-7626. Also, might try Arizona Charlies on South Dacatur Blvd. They had rooms as of yesterday. Their number is 258-5111. They have a website also.
