Well, all I can say is if you're not in Southern Nevada this week you are really missing out. Calm, clear and 65-70 degrees everyday this week through the mid part of next week. We had 8 to 12 fields going on for trap and skeet all day, and the rifle & pistol range was packed and created a waiting list.

300,000 are expected to be here in town for Saturday night, so looks like they will be in the right place at the right time.

Looks like it will be more of the same all week.

Best of the holidays to all, and wishing you a very prosperous and Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to you Steve.

I spent Christmas Eve with fellow who was going to compete in a triathlon. Why don't you sponsor a triathlon event that requires an athlete to ride a bike from a joint on the Strip to your trap grounds, shoot 100 targets and then run back to the Strip where he started? The sponsoring casino could make book on the event and your grounds would get some publicity.

Heard on the newes tonight that there is 98% hotel occupancy. Downtown Fremont Street will close to traffic at 5 p.m. Sat. night and Freeway exits to the strip will start closing at 5:00. LVMPD says strip will reopen at approximately 3:00 a.m. Sunday. Plenty of mounted police on horse for crowd control.

Grucci of New York will do the fireworks display at midnight with 56,000 explosions lasting 8 minutes. Will be shot from the roofs of the Tropicana, MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian and Stratosphere.
